How are the theories used in the trailer?
Burton- we used the woods for some of the trailer, and this follows the conventions of the background of a horror because the film, "Evil Dead" is a zombie film that uses the woods too and we thought that by using this setting, it makes it more effective as the other places we used like the lab and the car park were not as scary.
We also used Burton by using a stock situation, where a girl falls over when being chased as this builds it up of the audience thinking the antagonist will catch up with them.
Our trailer has an icon that can be recognisable when the audience see the film title. The symbol links to the chemicals that are put in the meat that causes the zombies to appear.

Neale- we show a final girl in the trailer that fights the zombie with a bat, a final girl is usually in slasher films like the film, "Scream" and a gun is used in zombie films so we challenged these so not all of the trailer follows the conventions of a zombie film. The zombies are caused by the meat and trailers normally show a virus in a hospital.

Altman- the film can have a visceral pleasure on the audience as we use meat at the start of the trailer, and fake blood to make it look gory, and a hand covered in blood that slowly moves down the door at the end. We needed to try to make the trailer gory as zombie films usually have a lot of blood being shown.
